Property repairs & refurbishment

Kitchen and floor work fitted to the existing room connections

Right Build Group provides building and refurbishment services in Surbiton. We connect flooring and kitchen work so the new installation and its surrounding surfaces are defined together. Floor preparation, coverings, cabinets, doorways and skirting can be included in the same refurbishment brief, giving the improvement a practical boundary from the outset.

The survey looks at the selected floor areas and kitchen installation together, with measurements and photographs of retained fittings and adjoining levels. Our written quotation explains the labour, materials, preparation and exclusions. Once approved, we agree a starting date and assign a project manager to monitor the flooring and kitchen trades, so questions about the room connections have the same project contact.

The room and its condition

Survey the kitchen and connected floor areas

Our appointment covers the floor areas being renewed and the kitchen work proposed alongside them. We discuss the retained fittings and room connections, looking at the actual route through the interior so the quotation addresses the areas affected by the combined installation. We confirm your appointment by email or text.

Complete the doors, skirtings and wall surfaces

Carpentry, plastering and decoration can complete the specified areas around the new floor and kitchen. We can fit skirtings, address agreed door work and prepare walls, ceilings and woodwork for the selected finish. Fitted storage can also be added where it forms part of the agreed improvement.

Connected refurbishment services

Refurbishment services for your home

Measure the levels, fittings and existing thresholds

We record floor and room measurements, photograph visible conditions and consider existing thresholds and service positions. Retained cabinetry or appliances are distinguished from replacement items. We identify the preparation established at the survey and explain any limits where the base is concealed beneath the current covering.

Kitchen fitting coordinated with the floors

We can remove the existing kitchen, prepare backgrounds and arrange agreed plumbing and electrical alterations before fitting replacement units and worktops. Appliance installation, tiling and decoration can be included. These stages are coordinated with the floor work rather than agreed as unrelated tasks.

Your project manager coordinates the agreed work

A project manager for the floor and kitchen interfaces

Your project manager monitors the floor installation with the kitchen fitting and timber details described in the quotation. Cabinets, thresholds and adjoining finishes must reflect the same room decisions, and the preparation needs to be ready for the relevant installation. We assign that manager after acceptance, agree a start and provide a contact for questions about these stages during the work.

Surbiton / existing buildings

Use the actual room connection to define the work

We measure the kitchen and the living or dining floor areas included in the project, recording the junctions and existing levels. Retained cabinets, appliances and coverings are identified with the new work, so the floor and installation details follow the actual room connections.

Flooring with preparation and edge work defined

We fit agreed coverings such as laminate, engineered wood, solid wood or LVT and can include relevant base preparation and repairs. The installation scope records thresholds, edges and associated door or skirting work, so the finished floor is considered with the room around it.

Access while kitchen and flooring work overlap

We discuss the areas affected by floor and kitchen removal and the routes needed to reach rooms still in use. Delivery arrangements and available cooking facilities are considered before the start. Your assigned project manager responds to questions about the working sequence and planned interruptions during the approved job.

A usable home at handover

Review the floor transitions and fitted kitchen

We review the installed floor, transitions and associated joinery with the kitchen work included in the scope. The review also covers agreed surface repairs and decoration. Outstanding items are discussed against the accepted quotation and changes, with relevant supplied installation or product information handed over where applicable.

Your refurbishment quotation

Separate preparation, fitting and surrounding finish costs

The quotation records floor areas, coverings, kitchen tasks, labour and material responsibilities. Base preparation, trims and surrounding decoration are identified where agreed, alongside exclusions. This gives you a clear basis for approving the combined work and understanding the full agreed scope before booking.

Useful answers

Your Surbiton refurbishment questions

Can the flooring and kitchen be included in the same quotation?

Yes. We can assess both together and describe the floor preparation, installation, kitchen fitting and associated trade and finishing work within one agreed project.

Can only the selected connected floor areas be replaced?

Yes. We define the rooms and floor areas included, with retained coverings identified and the agreed transitions described. The scope does not assume every floor in the property is replaced.

Do you consider cabinets when planning floor work?

We assess retained and replacement kitchen items alongside the floor installation, identifying the preparation and edge details relevant to the agreed layout and agreed work.

Can thresholds and skirting be included?

We can include specified thresholds, skirtings and associated door work with floor fitting. The quotation identifies those details and their finishing rather than leaving the surrounding carpentry undefined.

Will the walls be finished after the kitchen is installed?

We can include agreed plaster repairs, preparation and decoration around the new kitchen. Specified walls, ceilings and woodwork are described with the fitting and floor tasks.

What if the old floor hides a repair need?

We explain the survey's inspection limits and review findings when the base is exposed. Additional repair work and its cost are described for agreement before the scope is extended.

Will you assess the kitchen and connected floor areas together?

Yes. We measure the selected floor areas and kitchen and record the existing levels, thresholds and retained fittings, so their preparation and installation details are considered together.

Who coordinates the kitchen and floor fitting details?

Your assigned project manager monitors the kitchen and floor installations, including the thresholds and timber details where the work meets between rooms.
